Cutie-Pie

Wow! I can't bellieve it's November already! I remember when it was August and we were all wishing that the cool seasons would get here! LOL! So, this LO is of by youngest bro. It was super cute to watch him play in the leaves and run around throwing them along/at his older bros and sisters=) He's only 1 year old but already understands so much and knows whats going on around him and he acts/feels so grown-up!(well, sometimes=)!! He just graduated from the high-chair to a booster-seat and that made him feel even more grown-up=)

So I used 3 different paper patterns for this LO.
I drew and cut the leaf  in the center from left-over scrap paper and then I completely covered it with gold glitter and I used copper glitter for the stem and little veins. For the flowers, I had them in my stash and they were originaly italic/blue! So I ONCE AGAIN used glitter to turn them into "fall-themed-flowers"=)

Close-ups...

I used a needle & thread to roughly gather the brown ribbon that you see=)

The journaling says:
At only one year old, you are already so curious and are
studying everything that you see so closely. When Autumn
arrived and the leaves began to fall from the trees, all you
wanted to do was play outside in the leaves with you big
brothers and sisters!

Well, y'all have a teriffic week!!!

Christmas goodies!

The holidays are almost here! And for a few of my Christmas projects I made these two gift boxes.

For the Noel box I used a little, ordinary box that I had lying around and then I covered the sides with red ribbon. Then for the lid, I covered it with white paper and finished it with black ribbin and then I made a little bow with some christmasy snow-flake ribbon. I cut the "noel" letters out from some left-over gift wrap from last year and I only glued them on in certain places to give it a 3-D effect.

I used glitter to embellish the box with cute little snowflakes all around the box and on top of the lid=)

Now for this box I used a tea-bag-box=) I covered the whole thing with ice-blue paper and then I (again) used glitter to cover the box with snowflakes; and I also used glitter to write "merry christmas!" on the top=)

It's still only October, but we woke up the other morning to find that it was snowing and it still is! So, as you can imagine, the snow was just what I needed to give me a boost for some holiday inspiration! LOL!

Well, that's it for today. But I'm still working on lots of holiday goodies and decor, so come back soon!

Fall...into Fall!!!

It is definately Fall here where I live! All the leaves on the trees are yellow, orange, and red...that is, if they haven't fallen off yet! lol And the air is chilly! Brrrr!!! =) This layout is the first "fall"-themed one that i've done so far. I used a sketch from 52 sketches that i've been wanting to use for a long time! I love using sketches!

My siblings' favorite part about Fall is definately playing in the leaves! They're outside pretty much all day either raking leaves or running around trying to dump a big pile of leaves on each-other's head! I was out taking theses pictures the other day when I was ambushed my my littlest bro (who is only a 1 1/2 yrs. old!) with a pile of leaves! I still had leaves on my hair that I didn't know of when I went to bed that night! LOL

I found the little daisy flowers, movie-ticket tags, and ribbons at...Michaels!  Well, all of the stuff I just listed were left-overs from a previous kit that I used a looooong time ago! And then I made the two bigger flowers out of buttons,  left over fabric and an old pair of jeans=)

I printed the journaling tag off of our computer! That probably explains the wrinkles=)

I wrote "Fall 2009" on the movie-ticket-tag; and then you can see what the title says=)

Have a wonderful week y'all!!!

Kisses

So here is one of my newest layouts. I had lots of fun with this one! I found the title "Kiss" at Target (again) on...the 99 cent isle:) YAH! lol Sorry again for the bluriness of the pics! I waited to long to take the pics and the sun had gone down, so I just took 'em=)

So I made the two flowers out of left-over ribbons and buttons(which I always have LOTS of) I originaly hadn't planned to add any flowers on this layout but a little incident left me no choice:) So my little sis(the younger one who is in the pictures on this LO) was in my room watching me scrap and I turned away for a second and when I looked back my sis had taken the glue stick and glued a big piece of leftover scrap paper right in the middle of the LO! So, that's when I was "forced" to use the flower solution. LOL. But hey, at least I know that there's another scrapper in the family!

I love this picture of my sisters! They're so cute and adorable!!!(don't tell the older sis that I said that! lol =) I took the pic today with this LO in mind=) Come back soon!

Loss......

So here's my LO for the loss theme. I know, it took me like 3 days to complete it! But I wanted it to be perfect :) I had a TON of inspiration from R.Barakt's loss-themed LO about her grandma. I've been wanting to do a LO of my great grandma who passed away 3 years ago this month, and when I saw Rita's layout it was totally what I needed to inspire me! So thanks Rita! Oh yes, and I did use sketch #20 from creatively yours for this layout=)

We have very few pictures of my great grandma and so we were so excited when we found the ones that I used on my layout! My great grandma is the one on the right in the main picture...she is seen with her aunt, Tetka.

This is the front of the folder...I found the little flowers at Michales on the clearance isle, then I found all of the "swirlie" designs at Target also on the clearance isle! So I was happy that day=)

-The inside- On the inside are the lyrics to Jeremy Camp's song "There Will Be a Day". Every time I hear that song I think about my great grandma...

The lyrics read:
I try to hold onto this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings and the hurt
that trys to grab
The many trials that seem to never end,
His word declares this truth,
That we will enter in this rest with wonders anew
But I hold onto this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering
There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain,
and no more fears.
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
will be no more
We'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold onto You always
I know the journey seems so long, you feel you're
walking on your own.
But there has never been a step where you've walked
down all alone.
Troubled soul don't lose your heart
Cause the joy and peace He brings
And the beauty that's instore outweighs the hurt of life's
sting.
There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and
no more fears.
There will be a day when the burdens of this place will
be no more
We'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold onto You always
I can't wait until that day when the very one I've lived for
always
will wipe away the sorrow that i've faced.
To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame
and misery.
This is why...this is why I sing....there will be a day.

This is a pic of my great grandma when she was very young=) with her two younger brothers. This has to be one of the neatest pictures, I think, that we have of my great grandma. You can see where I slid the journaling under the picture=)

The picture is very bluring, so here's what the journaling says: My great grandma was always so full of life, love, and happiness. Which I before never really understood. She was born in an extremely small house in Yugoslavia. She then later came to California, USA in search for a place on the stage. She had a beautiful voice, so I'm told; but, she was so shy when it came to showing her talents that she was never able to show them on stage. My mom tells me stories of how she would always peek in while great grandma was cooking inthe kitchen and singing at the same time. My great grandma spent the last years of her life living in the same house that she did when she first got married , taking care of her almost disabled husband and grown son. And let me tell you, those two never got along. But great grandma always put up with their arguments and was still the most pleasant little lady to be around. When I was 9 and had only 6 siblings, we moved to our great grandparents small 5 acre farm and lived there for little over a year. My and my siblings were fortunate and blessed to be able to spend time with our grandma before she passed away on October 8, 2006.

This is the other side of the journaling block and the journaling continues...
I remember that the one thing great grandma loved to talk about was Jesus. She was always so thrilled whenever my mom would go over to their house to cook breakfast, clean, ect. and great grandma would constantly talk about Jesus. I realize now that that was the reason for her constant happiness; becuase she was always filled with the love and everlasting peace and grace of Jesus. And I find it comforting to know that my great grandma, the one who I loved so dearly and will always love, is now kneeling at His feet.

My great grandma was born and raised in Yugoslavia until late teen years. This is the teeny-tiny house that she was born in. It looks so old and eccentric-looking!!! And don't worry, that bottle-cap that you see on the bottom is from an apple cider bottle that I saved from last Thanksgiving=)

Well, so there it is! My loss-themed layout! I have to say, this is probably my favorite layout right now=) Come back tomorrow for more LOs!

Believe...

Hey y'all! I'm finally back after that loooooong break! Ugh! It drives me crazy when I don't have any inspiration for LOs! So first I have to tell you about this amazing give-away that Mrs. R.Barakat is doing! You can check it out and view the rules  at http://www.letsembellish.blogspot.com/  She has some amazing stuff! Okay, and also, the theme for this month from 'scrapbooking from the inside out' is "Loss". I'm in the process of puting the finishing touches on my LO and I'll post it tomorrow! You can also find more about this months theme and get some ideas at http://www.scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com/month.html Okay, so now for todays layout! I actually did this LO last month but I was still looking for a good picture spot so my pics wouldn't turn out just plain ugly!!! But I finally found the perfect spot in the most obvious place: On our little coffee table infront of our big living-room window. Isn't that spot obvious??? I don't know what I was thinking when I just passed it by=) And now my pics turn out perfect!! Yah! So this layout is very simple, actually REALLY simple=) But the pics of my sis are so beautiful that I really didn't need anything else pretty on the page:)

So here's the layout! As you can see its very simple, buy meaningful. My sis in this LO is always so positive about everything and she never really lets anything get in her way or get her down...

-Another view

This is what it looks like with all the stuff pulled out of the pocket. I appologize for the glare!

Hope you can read the journaling! (Its pretty big, so you should prabably be able to=)

Okay, so the reason this is UPSIDE DOWN is because...well i'm not really sure why its upside down=) The problem is my computer won't let me rotate it...weird huh? But our computer acts weird alot...so its really no surprise:) But at least you get to see what the cards say!
So thats it for today but come back tomorrow to see my "loss" themed layout!!! I have a LOT of stuff to share! So come back soon!!!
